Angel Tarramera Gisbert is a Scientific Officer at the C.3 Unit -Energy Security, Distribution and Markets- of the Joint Research Centre, Directorate-General from the European Commission. The Unit acts as an in-house scientific consultancy for European Institutions, aiding the design and implementation of energy security policies, digitalization of energy systems, and the uninterrupted physical availability of energy products and services at an affordable price for all consumers.
He is currently working, among other functions, on the development of a Code of Conduct for the interoperability of Energy Smart Appliances. In the past, he has already been involved in different EU programs, where he attended several conferences and participated in various academic exchange programmes, inside and outside the EU.
He received a BSc in Physics, with a minor in Electronics, from the University of Barcelona and a double MSc in Photonics Networks Engineering (MAPNET) from the Osaka University and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Milan.
